Still searching for that perfect color palette for your big day? I’ve got a combo that’s suitable for a wedding during any time of year: mocha and teal. The two hues balance each other out for the perfect mix of warm and cool. The teal provides a surprising splash of color, and the mocha offers a subdued neutral to help your wedding feel timeless and classic. Here are a few fun ideas that incorporate the two hues:

Wedding invitations
Wedding invitations offer the first glimpse into your big day, so you’ll want them to reflect your chosen color palette. This Banner of Roses – Invitation features a mocha background with simple black text. I love the black “celebration” banner and the rustic roses that dance across the natural stationery. In order to get a bit of teal into your wedding invitations, you can attach a vibrantly colored peacock feather to the stationery.

Teal napkins
Napkins are such an easy way to bring a pop of color to your reception tables. Keep in mind, however, that you don’t have to use the same shade of teal and mocha throughout your wedding reception and ceremony. Opt for a lighter shade, like this Aqua Cocktail Napkin. It features a design of your choice and would pair perfectly with a mocha table runner.

Bridal ensemble
If you don’t want to walk down the aisle in a teal or mocha dress, there are more subtle ways of introducing the hues into your bridal ensemble. For instance, paint your nails a bright teal shade that’s sure to stand out against your white gown.

Fun idea: On the morning of the wedding, head to your local coffee shop and pick up a mocha. Have your photographer take a picture of your hand wrapped around the cup – this adorable photo will show off your wedding colors and your ring. Plus, it’s a great way to document the morning of your big day.

Not sure how to make your grand exit from your ceremony? Consider including a packet of mocha- and teal-colored confetti in your programs. Your guests will be able to shower you with your wedding colors, which will make for gorgeous pictures.

When it comes to your sweet confection, you should decide how colorful you would like it to be. You can keep it simple with white buttercream frosting and then add a mocha-and-teal cake topper. You could also ask your baker to cover your cake with mocha fondant and a delicate pattern of teal-colored frosting.
