Set the scene with online wedding invitations
You won’t find wedding stationery more perfect for your winter nuptials than this Snowy Rose Invitation. Snowflakes fall gently in the background while a delicate pink rose adds a beautiful feminine touch. Your names are printed in elegant pink script at the top followed by all of the important stuff, like the location, time and date. This invite blends winter with boho chic flair effortlessly.

Dress up your outfit and your venue with winter flowers
Spring and summer lend themselves to brighter blooms like vibrant pink roses and golden yellow daisies. But to keep with your winter theme, stick with buds that are very subtly colored. Think dusty pink peonies accompanied with some pearls and greenery. Check out this boho bride’s garden-inspired bouquet that mixes greenery with white roses and pink peonies.

Pair your bouquet up with an arch of peonies and roses at the entrance of your ceremony. Dangle strands of crystals from all over the arch to add a touch of winter glam and create the ultimate entrance for your walk down the aisle.

Opt for simple, dewy makeup
Create a romantic look by sticking to “au natural” makeup, which is perfect for winter. Opt for foundation, a bit of bronzer, eyeliner and a few coats of mascara, and top off your hair with a floral barrette or a dramatic crown of your favorite blooms.

Winterize your groom
Think beyond the traditional black tuxedos for your groom and his wedding party and opt for light gray, almost white suit coats instead. Pair the suits with blueish-green ties to complement the greenery in your bouquet and likely in their boutonnieres. Think about using items straight from nature for his boutonniere. Mix some pine with mini pinecones and some mini red berries for a splash of color. Crown your flower girls
Help your flower girls stand out on your big day by dressing up their tresses with crowns of blooms. These flower girls have the right idea, wearing a crown of greens covered with three or four large white buds. To complete the winter theme, the girls were dressed in neutral colored gowns featuring floral prints at the bottom and an adorable white faux fur wrapped around their shoulders.

Accessorize for your winter photo shoot
When it comes time for you and your groom to take pictures, whether you opt for before or after the ceremony, take advantage of props. Use a faux fur wrap to keep yourself warm and looking fashionable during the photo shoot. You can even wear gloves, a chunky infinity scarf and a cozy hat (just make sure it doesn’t mess up your hair!).

Incorporate metallic elements into your cake
Metallics like silver and gold are two popularly used hues in winter weddings, and for good reason. They add a touch of shimmer and shine to complement the neutral color palette. Bring some gold to your tiered confection by covering the bottom tier in gold fondant and the top tier in plain white buttercream. For your cake topper, sprinkle greenery and add two statues of gold deer to keep with the rustic, winter theme. See how this bride and groom set up their cake display for their dreamy boho nuptials.

Your cake isn’t the only part of your reception decor that can include metallics. Bring the glittering hues into the centerpieces on your tables to create a luxurious statement. Fill antique gold vases with white and pale pink blooms, and greenery. Spray paint some of the green leaves with gold paint to match the hue of the vase and pull the look of the whole centerpiece together. To keep your reception tables light and bright and in line with a whimsical winter garden wedding, opt for a lacy delicate tablecloth.

Plan your wintry getaway
Your exit should be just as grand as your entrance was. Give out sparklers to your guests at the end of the night so they can form a glittering tunnel for you and your new spouse to walk through. Then imagine stepping into a horse-drawn sleigh covered in flowers to bring your winter garden wedding theme to a close. Of course, if it’s too chilly outside, a retro car or a limo would certainly do just fine!
